I don't know my TUI password?

You can obtain a copy of your TUI password sheet by using the link found on the top border of your CD course. Click here to obtain a copy of your TUI password now. You must provide your personal e-mail address we have on record and an automated e-mail will be sent with your login information.

How do I log into the TUI Cyber Library?

The TUI Cyber Library does not require a login. However, the virtual libraries listed within the cyber library do require logins. You must obtain a copy of your TUI password sheet to gain access to these sites. TUI offers a wide variety of virtual libraries which all require different logins. I am unable to log into Course Net?

Does TUI provide a copy of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)?

I cannot submit assignments to Course Net (file type error)?

Course Net does not accept all file types for course assignments. Below is a list of the most common file types used by students that are acceptable. The College of Information Systems using a number of programs that are acceptable. These programs will be available on your course cd. MS Word (.doc) MS Excel (.xls) MS PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps, .ppz) Web Pages (.htm, .html) Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) Plain Text (.txt)

I do not see any of my courses listed when I log into Course net?

Once the session has ended you will no longer have access to your enrolled courses for that session. If you have requested an extension, your courses will be available on the home page of your course net account. If you do not see the courses be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page. If the courses are still not listed, contact support@tuiu.edu immediately.

What is the deadline to submit my assignments to Course Net?

During the session you can submit your assignments at anytime. Course Net will be closed for all submissions the Monday (12am) following the final day of the session.

How do I request an extension?

Extensions can only be requested by logging into your Student Services Account. Click on My Courses and next to each course you will see a link to request an extension. Requests can only be made from the second week of the fourth module to the last day of the session. *Note: You must be enrolled in the following session to be eligible for an extension.

There are no classes available when I attempt to register?

How do I update my personal information?

Log into your Student Services account and click the My Info link on the left hand side. You can also update your personal information by clicking on the My Personal Info link on the left hand side.

How can I update my mailing address?

Log into your Student Services account and click the My Info link on the left hand side.

course cd

My course CD will not open/auto-run.

>> With the disc in your CD-ROM drive, right click on START and select explore.

>> Select your CD-ROM drive (usually the D: drive).

>> The contents of the CD will now appear in the main window. Scroll down and find the file named "Index or Index.htm". Double click this file.

>> This will open the disc to the home page of the course.

Note: If you have a problem with all of your TUI CD-ROM's not auto-running, right click on the "Index or Index.htm" file and select Send to...Desktop (create shortcut). You will then have a shortcut place on your desktop that will open any and all TUI CD-ROM's as long as they are entered in your CD-ROM drive. If you find that the problem is still not corrected, contact support@tuiu.edu to request a replacement copy.

I have broken links in my CD course.

Any link that is directed to an external URL other than TUI will have to be presented to the professor of the course. Any broken links that are directed to a TUI site can be corrected by support@tuiu.edu.

I cannot locate the required reading articles.

First, make sure you have the correct login for the library you are searching in. Obtain your login sheet if you do not already have one. Second, contact your professor and/or support for assistance.

cyber library

I cannot access any of the libraries within the Cyber Library.

The virtual libraries available within the cyber library require unique logins. You must obtain a copy of your TUI password sheet to be able to log into these sites. We strongly recommend viewing the cyber library tutorials available on this site.

Can I set up my e-mail account in Outlook Express?

Yes. You can use a number of e-mail client's to host your e-mail account. Click Here to view setup instructions.

How do I setup my signature block in my TUI e-mail account?

Click on the options link found on the left hand side of your e-mail account. The options window will appear. Scroll down and find signature and update. Be sure to click save and close before leaving the options menu.

What are the minimum computer requirements for TUI students?

In order to benefit from the unique technological features that TUI provides, students need to have access to a computer with the following configuration.

    > IntelĀ® or AMD processor running at 1GHz or higher
    > Memory: 512MB RAM; 1GB recommended
    > Minimum free drive space: 650MB
    > CD-ROM drive
    > Super VGA (800x600) or a higher-resolution monitor
    > Headphones with microphone

What type of computer knowledge do I need to have as a TUI student?

TUI has adopted the following specific competencies for incoming students.

Ability to perform the basic functions in a Windows operating system. These include:
> File operations (creating, saving, copying, retrieving)
> Multi-tasking
> Using standard Windows features: nav tools, sizing and moving features, etc.
> Importing and exporting files
> Formatting
> Page setup and printing
> Perform basic word processing activities

> Perform basic electronic spreadsheet activities

> Design and develop graphic presentations

> Engage in basic Internet activities, including subject searches

Does TUI assist students with reformatting and other maintenance on their computers?

No.

However, TUI will assist with any technical difficulties students may have with the systems and software put in place by TUI. Basic maintenance and repairs to student computers should be directed to the manufacture of the system.
